Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Genuspedia. By accessing our platform, utilizing our hybrid search engines, or interacting with our specialized AI research agent, Ichiban, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging with our digital archives.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a client account, acquiring a membership tier, or accessing historical abstracts, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Access. If you do not agree with any provision outlined herein, you must refrain from using the platform.
2. Membership and Secure Access
Genuspedia operates as an exclusive digital environment. Account credentials and secure access links are strictly personal and non-transferable. Members are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information and for all activities conducted under their profile.
3. Intellectual Property and Archival Data
All structured abstracts, paleographic transcriptions, database architecture, and proprietary software tools (including the Genuspedia registry and Ichiban AI agent interactions) are the exclusive intellectual property of Genuspedia. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to consult records for personal or professional genealogical research, strictly prohibiting mass scraping, unauthorized redistribution, or commercial resale of the data.
4. Limitation of Liability
While Genuspedia employs rigorous archival verification and advanced technological transcription methods to ensure data integrity, historical registries may contain inherent gaps, clerical errors originating from primary sources, or historical anomalies. Genuspedia provides raw civil, parish, and judicial transcripts on an “as-is” basis and assumes no liability for conclusions drawn by users in genealogical or legal proceedings.
5. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the platform, repositories, or subscription tiers at any time to improve system architecture and historical accuracy.
6. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable jurisdictional frameworks governing digital assets and proprietary archives.
